Final show at IMAX Rotterdam

On October 21 Inntel Hotels will start with the demolition of the former IMAX theatre, located at the Leuvenhaven in Rotterdam. At this spot in 2013, Inntel Hotels will open the doors of its first five star hotel and the fifth hotel of the Inntel Hotels group.

Party

Because Inntel Hotels will present the final show in the IMAX theatre, many business partners and local residents are invited to the party. It will be a party to start the development of a new hotel, to give a little insight into the future and to say goodbye to the former IMAX theatre.

Laser show

Karin Geurts, CEO of Inntel Hotels says: "Almost every citizen of Rotterdam has visited the IMAX theatre at least once in his or her life. The wish to say good bye to the theatre in a honourable way and the wish to present our plans for the future on a great way, are coming together in a spectacular laser show that will be held prior to the start of the demolition."

The former theatre building - which is situated right next to Inntel Hotels Rotterdam Centre - will house 213 hotel rooms, state-of-the-art multi-purpose rooms, restaurants, a cocktail bar, a lounge bar and a wide variety of wellness and fitness facilities.

Convinced

Hans van Schaick, General Manager of Inntel Hotels Rotterdam Centre, is looking forward to the future: "We already have the biggest and most successful four star hotel of Rotterdam. With a brand new five star hotel right next to the existing hotel, we are convinced of our success. We are able to offer individual guests a luxurious ambiance, a unique location and a wealth of wellness facilities, while business guests will appreciate the four and five star luxury with a total of 476 hotel rooms and congress facilities up to 400 persons."

Build

Building company Heddes Bouw BV from Hoorn will be responsible for the demolition of the old theatre and the build of the new five star hotel. Heddes Bouw and Inntel Hotels previously worked together during the build of Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Zaandam.
