Inntel Hotels celebrates its first anniversary

Inntel Hotels celebrated its first anniversary under the Inntel Hotels name: time for a big party, so over 10.000 invitations were send. Because of a surprising promotion, the city of Amsterdam was covered in orange during the night of March 31.

A total amount of 10.000 bicycles in the heart of Amsterdam got an orange saddle cover with only a website written on it: www.wathebiknouaanmijnfietshangen.nl (What's that hanging on my bicycle?)

On April 1st form 16:30 hours onwards there was a big party on the website mentioned. Visitors were encouraged to celebrate with us by sending a picture of themself in a swimsuit to a specific email address. The most funny contributors will receive a free night in one of our hotels, including breakfast.

CEO Of Inntel Hotels, Karin Geurts, looks back on a stunning year: "With success we’ve been building the Inntel Hotels brand for over a year. If you look at the cities where our hotels are located, it’s like the hotels never had another name. Our successful first year is something we want to celebrate.”

Last year, at the introduction of the Inntel Hotels brand, the hotel group gave away 700 nights at one of their hotels for only one Euro per night. Karin Geurts refused to tell if Inntel Hotels will have a special promotion again at April 1st 2012: “You’ll be surprised”, she says.

Hans van Schaick, General Manager of Inntel Hotels Rotterdam Centre, helped his colleagues in the middle of the night with the saddle cover promotion in Amsterdam. He says: “We’ve had a great night! With 20 people from all of our hotel locations, it looked a bit like a team building activity!”
