Inntel Hotels most eco friendly chain within the Netherlands

All Inntel Hotels have been awarded the highest possible Green Key level; Gold. With scores from 37 to 41 points, the chain is the most eco friendly hotel chain within The Netherlands.

The Green Key is an international eco-label for leisure and tourism establishments. Organizations awarded the Green Key meet technical - management criteria and criteria on communication. On-site checks are performed regularly on all Green Key owners.

The goal set by Inntel Hotels was to achieve Green Key certification for all four hotels before the end of 2011. This goal has been achieved. All Inntel Hotels have been awarded the highest possible level; Green Key Gold.

Inntel Hotels Resort Zutphen is the most eco friendly hotel in the Netherlands with a dazzling score of 41 points. The hotels in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Zaandam take a shared second place with 37 points. With the highest scores within the Netherlands, Inntel Hotels is considered the most eco friendly hotel chain within the country.

"Operating our hotels eco friendly and sustainable has been a focus within Inntel Hotels for several years. Nevertheless, we did have to invest in order to achieve the Green Key Gold status," states Karin Geurts, Managing Director of Inntel Hotels. "I am proud of the hard work the Green Teams within the hotels have done to have implemented all the changes in time for the Green Key checks."
