Utrecht Canal Pride takes place on Saturday 6 June and is a colourful and festive part of Utrecht Pride. The canals of the historic city centre are transformed into a parade of rainbow boats and cheerful spectators. From around 1:30 pm, more than 50 festively decorated boats sail along the Oudegracht and the city canals, carrying organisations and groups proudly celebrating diversity and the LGBTQ+ community.
Along the quays, spectators dressed in colourful outfits cheer, enjoy the music and join in the celebrations. After the parade, the festivities continue with street parties and after-parties throughout Utrecht’s city centre. Canal Pride is free to attend.
