The Utrecht Marathon takes place on Sunday 31 May 2026 and is one of the city’s largest sporting events. The event attracts thousands of runners and spectators and follows a varied course through Utrecht city centre, the Science Park and the surrounding green countryside. In addition to the full marathon, there is also a half marathon, a 10 km race, a 5 km race, and various business and family runs.

Along the route, music points and spectators create a festive atmosphere. The start and finish are traditionally located in the city centre. As such, the Utrecht Marathon is not only a sporting challenge but also a true city festival for participants and visitors.
