This wooden house is one of the oldest surviving wooden buildings in the Netherlands. The Bakery Museum In De Gecroonde Duyvekater dates back to 1658. At the museum, you can explore an original Zaan-style baker’s shop. Its name refers to the duivekater, the famous Zaan sweet bread, which you can taste here. Visitors also have the opportunity to sample other traditional Dutch bakery products and sweets. The museum is open daily from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, and admission is free of charge.
